Every driver is obliged to carry the valid documentation of both the vehicle and their own. If an Agent of Authority stops you and requests such documentation, you have a legal obligation to present it. This applies on any type of road, whether inside or outside a built-up area. Failure to show the required documents constitutes a violation of traffic regulations. Currently, it is also valid to show the documentation in digital format through the official DGT application.
