Is an adaptable dual-purpose vehicle allowed to drive in a High-Occupancy Vehicle (VAO) lane?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

As a general rule, use of the VAO (HOV) lane is limited to motorcycles, passenger cars, and adaptable dual-purpose vehicles. For an adaptable dual-purpose vehicle to use it, two fundamental conditions must be met: 1) it must not exceed 3,500 kg of maximum authorized mass (MAM) and 2) it must carry the minimum number of occupants required (generally two or more, including the driver). Vehicles displaying the V-15 sign (persons with reduced mobility) and those with a Zero Emissions or ECO label (depending on signage) may also drive in it regardless of the number of occupants. Trucks and vans are prohibited from entering, except for specific exceptions indicated.
