What period does the holder have to remove their vehicle from the impound lot before it is treated as solid urban waste?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

Traffic regulations (the Road Safety Law) allow the competent authority to order the vehicle to be moved to an Authorized Vehicle Treatment Center (scrapyard) for destruction when it is considered solid urban waste. This generally happens after long periods of abandonment (such as 2 months in the impound lot after removal). Once the authority notifies the holder that the vehicle will be treated as waste, the holder has a non-extendable period of 15 days to collect it, after paying the costs incurred (tow truck and storage), before its final destruction is carried out.
