If a traffic officer raises their arm vertically, at exactly which point must the driver stop?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

This signal obliges all road users approaching the officer to stop, regardless of the direction they are coming from. The regulations specify that the stop must be made at the nearest stop line or, if one does not exist, 'immediately before reaching the officer'. Stopping 'behind' would imply having passed the authority's position, which is incorrect, and the distance of 'six meters' is arbitrary and not contemplated in the rules.
