What indispensable condition must the additional seat meet to legally transport a child on a cycle?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

The General Traffic Regulations establish an exception for transporting people on cycles (bicycles) constructed for a single person. Carrying a passenger is allowed if three simultaneous requirements are met: 1) The driver must be of legal age, 2) The passenger must be a child up to seven years old, and 3) An approved (homologated) additional seat must be used. The correct answer is homologation, as it guarantees the seat meets safety standards. Being 'removable' or 'reclining' are useful features but not legally mandatory.
