Based on their construction and purpose, into which two main groups are special vehicles classified?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

Special vehicles are those designed and built to perform specific works or services and which, due to their characteristics, are exempt from complying with some of the technical conditions required by the General Vehicle Regulations. According to traffic regulations, they are classified into two main blocks: Agricultural: Intended for field work (agricultural tractors, tillers, agricultural trailers, self-propelled or towed agricultural machinery). Works and services: Intended for construction, cleaning, or maintenance work (construction tractors, excavators, sweepers, forklifts, etc.). The other options (such as self-propelled or towed) refer to their movement capability, but do not constitute the main classification by typology.
