Is it mandatory for passenger cars to have a windshield wiper installed on the rear window?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

No, it is not mandatory. According to the General Vehicle Regulations in Spain, passenger cars must be equipped with an effective windshield wiper and washer system on the front (windshield), but the law does not require its installation on the rear (rear window). However, it is a highly recommended active safety feature, as it ensures visibility through the interior rearview mirror in adverse weather conditions or when the vehicle kicks up dirt from the road.
