Which signal prevails if there is a contradiction between the vehicle's light signal and a hand signal?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

According to General Traffic Regulations, warnings made with the arm take precedence over optical signals (indicators/blinkers) in the event of a contradiction, provided that the hand signal is clearly perceptible and visible to other road users. This is because it is understood that the driver is using their arm deliberately, possibly because the lights are faulty or to correct an erroneously activated light signal. Acoustic signals (horn) do not indicate direction or maneuver, but rather presence or danger warning, so they do not compete in this hierarchy of trajectory indication.
