The moped driver extends their left arm horizontally with the palm of their hand facing down. What maneuver are they indicating?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

The driver is indicating their intention to turn left or make a lateral movement to that side. According to regulations, optical warnings should preferably be made with turn signal lights, but failing that or to reinforce safety, arm signals can be used. The left arm extended horizontally is equivalent to the left turn signal. To indicate a right turn with the left arm, it should be bent upwards in an 'L' shape.
