Motorcycles driven on any public road must always have their dipped-beam (low beam) headlights on, both day and night. The position light alone is not sufficient for driving, as its function is only to indicate the presence and width of the vehicle when it is stationary. Using the low beam during the day significantly increases the motorcycle's visibility to other users. Driving with only the position light is prohibited.
