When crossing a bike lane with your vehicle, are you obliged to yield to cyclists riding on it?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

The correct answer is Yes, always. According to General Traffic Regulations, cyclists have the right of way over motor vehicles when riding in a designated bike lane, cycle crossing, or marked shoulder. It is crucial to understand that when crossing a path intended exclusively for other users (such as a bike lane), you are entering their safety zone; therefore, priority belongs entirely to them, regardless of whether they approach from the right or the left.
