According to General Vehicle Regulations, is a 'road train' classified as a motor vehicle?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

Yes, a road train is considered a motor vehicle. Detailed Explanation: According to Spanish regulations (Annex II of the General Vehicle Regulations), a road train is defined as an automobile consisting of a motor vehicle coupled to a trailer. Since the definition of an 'automobile' implies being a motor vehicle used for the transport of persons, goods, or both, the road train inherits this classification. Analysis of incorrect options: 'Only if the trailer exceeds 750 kg...': Incorrect. The Maximum Authorized Mass (MAM) of the trailer determines whether it is light or heavy, or which license is required (B, B96, B+E), but it does not alter the structural definition of the vehicle as a motor vehicle. 'No': Incorrect. Although it is a 'combination of vehicles', the towing unit is a motor vehicle, and the set is governed by the rules applicable to automobiles.
