When approaching a market area where pedestrians are present, what behavior should the driver adopt?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

The correct answer is to reduce speed and stop if necessary. In market areas or crowds, pedestrians may behave unpredictably and step onto the road. Traffic regulations stipulate that speed must be moderated and the vehicle stopped if necessary when approaching places where there are children, the elderly, or crowds. Maintaining the same speed is dangerous because it reduces reaction time to unexpected events. Using the horn in urban areas is prohibited as a general warning (except to avoid an imminent accident) and could startle pedestrians, making the situation worse.
