Can a traffic sign apply exclusively to one or several specific lanes of the roadway?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

Yes, it is entirely possible. Although the general rule states that vertical signs apply to the entire width of the roadway in the direction of travel, there are specific exceptions. A sign applies only to a specific lane when it is placed directly above that lane (for example, on an overhead gantry or illuminated panel) or painted on the ground, provided that the lane is clearly delimited by longitudinal road markings (continuous or broken lines) on both sides. In this case, the obligation or prohibition applies solely to drivers traveling in that specific lane.
