Work lights (projectors) are designed to illuminate the operation area of a machine or tractor. The correct answer is yes, but only when they are performing their specific task (in working operation).  They must not be used during simple driving on public roads, as they are usually powerful lights that can dazzle other drivers.  Clarification: Do not confuse this with the V-2 signal (rotating amber light), which must be switched on to signal their position and presence when driving on public roads.
