In which exceptional situation is reversing allowed?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

As a general rule, reversing is prohibited on public roads. However, regulations establish two main exceptions. The correct answer describes a 'dead-end' scenario: when it is not possible to move forward, change direction, or make a U-turn. In this case, you are allowed to reverse the minimum distance necessary to extricate the vehicle, even invading an intersection if strictly necessary. The other exception is as a complementary maneuver (stopping, parking, or joining traffic), limited to 15 meters and without invading an intersection. Reversing on highways and motorways is strictly forbidden.
