In which situation is it mandatory to moderate speed and, if necessary, stop the vehicle?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

According to General Traffic Regulations, every driver must moderate their speed and, if necessary, stop the vehicle when approaching pedestrian crossings not regulated by traffic lights or traffic officers. In these situations, there is a potential danger as pedestrians have the right of way, and the driver must ensure they can stop in time to avoid putting them at risk. While one must drive with caution on ramps, slopes, or two-way roads, the specific rule of being 'prepared to stop' applies strictly where there is uncertainty regarding priority or the presence of vulnerable users, such as at pedestrian crossings.
