Are moped drivers allowed to travel on the shoulders of dual carriageways?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

The correct answer is No, it is prohibited. According to the General Traffic Regulations, animal-drawn vehicles, bicycles, mopeds and vehicles for people with reduced mobility are prohibited from using motorways and dual carriageways. It is important not to confuse this rule with the exception for bicycles: cyclists over 14 years of age may ride on the shoulders of dual carriageways (unless a sign expressly prohibits it), but this exception does not apply to mopeds. Therefore, a moped may never enter a dual carriageway, not even on the shoulder.
