Are motorcycle passengers required to wear a protective helmet?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

The use of an approved protective helmet is mandatory for both the rider and the passenger of a motorcycle. This rule applies on all types of roads, whether urban or interurban. The rider is legally responsible for ensuring that the passenger wears the helmet correctly fastened. Not wearing a helmet drastically reduces the chances of survival in the event of an accident and carries a financial penalty and the loss of points for the rider.
