What is the general maximum allowed blood alcohol level for vehicle drivers and cyclists?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

The correct answer is 0.5 grams per liter. According to the traffic regulations in Spain, the general maximum alcohol level allowed for drivers of vehicles (who are neither novice nor professional drivers) and for cyclists is 0.5 g/l in blood. It is crucial to distinguish between the units of measurement: 0.5 g/l is the limit in blood. 0.25 mg/l would be the equivalent in exhaled air. Therefore, the option of 0.25 grams per liter is wrong (it mixes up the air figure with the blood unit), and 1.0 gram per liter far exceeds the legal limit and is a very dangerous level.
