What does the red and white striped panel (V-20 sign) placed at the rear of this vehicle indicate?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

The correct answer is that the load extends beyond the rear. This panel is technically called the V-20 sign. It is a square panel with alternating diagonal red and white stripes. Regulations and use: It is mandatory to use it whenever the load overhangs the rear of the vehicle's structure (up to 10% of the length if the load is divisible, or 15% if it is indivisible). It must be placed at the rear end of the load so that it is always perpendicular to the axis of the vehicle. If the load overhangs longitudinally across the whole width of the rear, two V-20 panels must be placed transversely, forming an inverted 'V'. Analysis of the errors: Dangerous goods: They are marked with rectangular orange panels (V-11 sign), not with diagonal stripes. Speed limit: It is indicated by the speed limit sign (V-4), which is a white disc with the speed figure in black, or by conventional traffic signs.
