What is the specific name of the side parts where the rider must rest their feet while driving a motorcycle?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

The correct answer is Stirrups (estribos, or footpegs). Stirrups are the supports located on both sides of the motorcycle designed specifically for the rider to rest their feet. They are fundamental for active safety, as they allow maintaining balance, controlling the vehicle's lean with the body, and facilitate immediate access to foot controls (gear shift lever and rear brake). It is important not to confuse them with 'pedals', a term that specifically refers to the actuating levers rather than the support platform itself.
