When riding your motorcycle on a congested motorway. Are you allowed to ride on the shoulder as a general rule?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

As a general rule, it is prohibited to ride on the shoulder with a motorcycle in traffic congestion situations. The shoulder is reserved for specific vehicles or emergency situations. Its use is only allowed if, for emergency reasons, you are riding at an abnormally low speed, seriously disrupting traffic. Riding on the shoulder to overtake in a traffic jam carries a penalty.
