What is the correct behavior to ensure road safety when using a GPS navigator?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

The correct option is to set the route before starting to drive. Detailed Justification: Distraction Hazard: Manipulating the GPS while the vehicle is in motion forces the driver to take their eyes off the road and hands off the steering wheel, which is considered a serious offense and a major cause of distraction-related accidents. Planning: The route must always be planned while the vehicle is immobilized. If changes need to be made during the trip, the driver must stop in a safe and permitted location. Signage Priority: One should never blindly trust the device. Traffic signs (roadworks, prohibited U-turns, etc.) and officers' orders always take precedence over the navigator's instructions, which might be outdated.
