What type of vehicles are authorized to carry indivisible loads that extend beyond the vehicle's footprint?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

Traffic regulations (General Traffic Regulations) make a clear distinction regarding protruding loads. In vehicles intended exclusively for the transport of goods (such as trucks or vans), loads are allowed to protrude if they are indivisible (such as beams or poles) and stowage conditions are met. In these cases, it may extend from the front, rear, and sides within legal limits. Conversely, in passenger transport vehicles (cars) or mixed vehicles, the load may only protrude from the rear, never from the front or sides.
