If you encounter this danger warning sign indicating an intersection with priority, do domestic animals have the right of way when crossing the road?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

The correct answer is No. The sign shown (P-1) indicates danger due to the proximity of an intersection where you have the right of way. As a general rule, drivers have priority over animals, except in very specific exceptions: 1) At duly marked cattle tracks (sign P-23 with the additional panel 'Cañada'). 2) When turning with the vehicle to enter another road where animals are crossing. 3) When the vehicle crosses a shoulder where animals are walking and have no cattle track. Since none of these exceptions are met and you have an explicit priority sign, the animals must yield.
