Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

Fixed or flashing yellow lights, when acting as barrier devices, belong to the group of beaconing signals. Their regulatory function is to prohibit crossing the imaginary line joining them. It is essential to distinguish their function: Closure beaconing: They serve to enclose a roadwork zone or an area prohibited to traffic, preventing access to the part of the road located behind them. Difference from other signals: They are not designed specifically to warn of curves (directional panels) nor just to mark the edge of the road, but rather they establish an explicit prohibition to cross.
