The front fog light must always be used, at a minimum, together with the position lights (side lights). According to regulations, the front fog light can be on by itself or accompanied by dipped beam (low beam) or main beam (high beam) headlights, but in any of these cases, the position lights must be active to indicate the vehicle's presence and width. It is not mandatory to switch on the rear fog light simultaneously, as the latter is reserved for much more severe weather conditions.
