Is it mandatory to use a seatbelt when driving on the road?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

Yes, the use of a seatbelt is mandatory for the driver and vehicle occupants on all types of roads, both urban (inside built-up areas) and interurban (conventional roads, dual carriageways, and motorways). This passive safety element is vital as it drastically reduces the risk of death and prevents occupants from being thrown out or hitting parts of the vehicle violently in the event of an accident or sudden braking. Failure to comply is considered a serious offense and leads to point deduction. Options suggesting it is 'only advisable' or depends on the type of connection between towns are incorrect; the rule is general and compulsory.
