Can non-priority vehicles perform an urgent service under any circumstance?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

Yes, Traffic Regulations allow for this exception. If a non-priority vehicle (such as a private car) is in an exceptionally serious situation where aid must be provided (for example, transporting a critically ill person because an ambulance is unavailable), it may operate under urgent service conditions. To do so, the driver must warn other road users by using the horn intermittently and switching on the hazard warning lights (or waving a handkerchief/cloth out the window). It is crucial to understand that, unlike an ambulance or police car, this driver must still respect traffic rules, especially at intersections, although other users should facilitate their passage as much as possible.
