When leaving a battery or angled parking space, are you allowed to reverse to rejoin traffic?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

As a general rule, reversing is prohibited in Spain. However, there is a clear exception for maneuvers that require it, such as rejoining traffic from a parked position. To perform this maneuver legally, three conditions must be met simultaneously: 1) You must reverse only the minimum essential distance, 2) You must not reverse more than 15 meters (note: the 25-meter option is false; that figure applies only when trapped in a dead end), and 3) You must not invade an intersection. Therefore, it is permitted, but only under these strict safety limitations.
