Is it allowed to park on the drivable shoulder of a road passing through a town (travesía)?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

Yes, it is allowed, but with conditions. A 'travesía' is a section of highway that runs through a town, so urban traffic rules fundamentally apply regarding stopping and parking. This means you can park on the roadway or the shoulder (if present), positioning the vehicle as close to the edge as possible. However, the golden rule is not to obstruct traffic: a clear space of at least 3 meters in width must remain to allow other vehicles to pass safely. If this were a conventional road outside of a town, parking on the shoulder would be prohibited.
