On a roadworks section, are the construction staff authorized to regulate traffic?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

Yes, road works personnel are authorized to regulate traffic. According to General Traffic Regulations, drivers must obey the indications of construction workers when they are directing traffic in affected sections. Their signals are fundamental to ensure safety and flow in work zones and take priority over general rules. The option suggesting they 'have no authority' is false, and limiting it to 'outside built-up areas' is also incorrect, as their authority is valid on any road where work is being performed.
