If a traffic officer orders you to stop by extending their arm horizontally, at what point can you resume driving?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

According to General Traffic Regulations, when an officer extends their arm horizontally, it orders users approaching from directions intersecting the arm to stop. Crucially, this order remains in effect even if the officer lowers their arm. Lowering the arm does not cancel the stop order (it is often done just for physical rest). Therefore, you cannot resume driving until the officer makes a distinct, new signal that changes the situation (such as a hand gesture indicating you may proceed or a change in body position).
