If a driver must immobilize their vehicle inside a tunnel due to an emergency, what action must they take to request help?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

In the event of an emergency (breakdown, accident, illness) inside a tunnel or underpass, after immobilizing the vehicle as close as possible to the right edge, turning off the engine, and switching on the hazard and position lights, the driver must go to the nearest emergency call box (SOS post). It is crucial to use this method over a mobile phone because the SOS post immediately geolocates the exact position of the incident for emergency services. Once contacted, strict adherence to the instructions given is required. Honking is not a valid distress signal in this situation and could cause confusion or panic.
