Is it permitted to make a U-turn in a tunnel, underpass, or road section affected by the tunnel sign?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

The General Traffic Regulations state that, as a general rule, making a U-turn is prohibited in tunnels, underpasses, and road sections affected by the tunnel sign (S-5), due to high risk and reduced visibility in these infrastructures. However, the priority order of traffic signals dictates that specific signage prevails over general rules. Therefore, the correct answer is 'No, unless there is a sign permitting it'. The option 'Yes, if there is no traffic' is incorrect because the prohibition is absolute for safety reasons, regardless of traffic flow. The option 'No, never' is incorrect because it ignores the hierarchy of signaling.
