When using a GPS navigator while driving, what must always prevail in the face of contradictory or dangerous instructions?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

The GPS is an assistance tool, but it is not infallible. The driver's judgment must prevail at all times over the navigator's instructions. This is because maps may be outdated, there may be unregistered roadworks, or circumstantial signaling (such as that from traffic officers) may have changed the right of way. Continuously looking at the screen diverts attention from the road, and blindly obeying the device can lead to traffic violations or accidents. The ultimate responsibility always lies with the driver.
