What specifically does a road identification sign with the initials AP-7 on a blue background indicate?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

The correct answer is Toll motorway. The initials 'AP' serve as the specific abbreviation for 'Autopista de Peaje' (Toll Motorway). The blue background confirms that it is a high-capacity road. If the sign indicated only 'A-7' (without the P), it would refer to a toll-free motorway or dual carriageway. On the other hand, 'European routes' are identified by the letter 'E' on a green background (e.g., E-15). Therefore, the presence of the 'P' warns the driver that they are driving on a road where a toll fee must be paid.
