When must a vehicle's rear license plate light be switched on?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

According to General Traffic Regulations, rear license plate illumination is mandatory whenever the vehicle is driven between sunset and sunrise, as well as in tunnels, underpasses, or weather conditions that significantly reduce visibility. This light switches on simultaneously with the position lights and must allow the license plate inscription to be read from a distance of 20 meters at night. It is not necessary to have it on during the day (sunny hours) if visibility is normal.
