To maintain optimal visibility, essential for road safety, the driver must perform preventive maintenance before hitting the road. The correct answer is the water level in the reservoir. It is crucial to ensure that the reservoir contains enough liquid (preferably a mixture of water and specific windshield washer fluid with antifreeze) to clean the glass of dirt, insects, or mud during the trip. In addition to the fluid, you should verify the condition of the wiper blade rubber (ensuring it is not dry or cracked) and the orientation of the nozzles so that the water hits the correct area of the windshield. The other options (oil and brake fluid) are vital for the vehicle's mechanics and safety, but they do not belong to the wiper system.
