Does driving under the influence of drugs entail the loss of driving license points?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

Yes. Driving with the presence of drugs in the body is classified as a very serious offense in the Law on Traffic, Motor Vehicle Circulation and Road Safety. This offense entails the loss of 6 points from the driving license and a financial penalty (generally 1,000 euros), regardless of the road on which one is traveling (built-up area or open road). The answer suggesting that it only happens outside built-up areas is incorrect, since the rule applies on all public roads.
