As a general rule, the class B license authorizes driving automobiles up to 3,500 kg and mopeds (AM). However, Spanish regulations establish a specific equivalence: drivers with more than 3 years of experience on their class B license may drive class A1 motorcycles (up to 125 cc and 11 kW of power) exclusively within national territory. It does not authorize driving larger motorcycles (such as 250 cc) nor is it valid for riding motorcycles abroad.
