Is the circulation of personal mobility vehicles (VMPs), such as electric scooters, permitted on interurban roads?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

No, it is strictly forbidden. According to the General Traffic Regulations amended by the DGT, Personal Mobility Vehicles (VMPs) are prohibited from traveling on interurban roads, travesías (roads passing through towns), highways, motorways, and urban tunnels. Their scope of use is restricted to urban roads as established by municipal bylaws. The answer regarding the shoulder is incorrect, as that rule applies to mopeds or bicycles, but not to VMPs for safety reasons.
