In which case is it permitted to overtake on the right inside a built-up area?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

As a general rule, overtaking is done on the left. However, traffic regulations establish clear exceptions. Inside built-up areas, overtaking on the right is permitted only when there are at least two lanes in the same direction delimited by road markings. This is allowed because, on urban roads with marked lanes, drivers may use the lane that best suits their destination. The other options are incorrect: traffic lights are not the determining factor, and in heavy (slow) traffic, one lane moving faster than another is not considered overtaking, but rather parallel traffic flow.
