When approaching a school or an area where the presence of children is foreseeable, what behavior should the driver adopt?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

According to General Traffic Regulations, every driver must moderate their speed and, if necessary, stop the vehicle when approaching places where the presence of children is foreseeable, such as schools, playgrounds, or near school buses. Children are considered vulnerable users due to their short stature (making them hard to see) and unpredictable behavior. Accelerating would increase the severity of a potential accident, and the horn should only be used to avoid an imminent crash, not as a habitual preventative measure, as it could scare them.
