Is it permitted to place solar films, stickers, or sunblinds on the rear window of a passenger car?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

Yes, regulations allow the installation of solar films, tinted glass, or sunblinds on the rear window, but they impose a mandatory safety condition: the vehicle must be equipped with two approved exterior rear-view mirrors (one on the left and one on the right). The reason is that by darkening or covering the rear glass, the interior rear-view mirror may lose its utility for seeing what is happening behind. Therefore, to guarantee visibility and comply with General Vehicle Regulations, the use of both exterior mirrors is required to compensate for that loss of direct vision through the rear window.
