While driving in snowy conditions, is it advisable to wear sunglasses?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

Yes, it is highly recommended, especially on sunny days after a snowfall. Snow has a high capacity to reflect sunlight (albedo effect), causing excessive brightness that can lead to severe glare and rapid driver eye fatigue. Why the other options are incorrect: They are not mandatory by law, although they are advisable for safety reasons. They do not impair vision; on the contrary, proper sunglasses (preferably polarized) filter out excess light and glare, allowing for sharper vision and preventing 'snow blindness'.
