DentroTest · Accepted Answer

Spanish regulations establish that private passenger cars are exempt from the ITV (Technical Vehicle Inspection) during the first four years from their date of first registration. Once this initial period is completed, the inspection frequency is as follows: Between 4 and 10 years old: The inspection must be carried out every two years (biennial). Over 10 years old: The inspection becomes mandatory every year (annual). Therefore, the correct answer is four years. It is essential to check the Technical Data Sheet (ITV Card) or the Registration Certificate to verify the exact registration date.
