On which types of roads is it permitted to use acoustic signals to warn other users of one's presence?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

According to General Traffic Regulations, the use of acoustic signals (horn) is permitted on both urban and interurban roads, but with important nuances. To avoid a possible accident: Permitted on ALL roads (urban and interurban). To warn of an emergency service: Permitted on ALL roads. To warn of the intention to overtake: Permitted ONLY on interurban roads (outside built-up areas). Therefore, since there is at least one situation (avoiding accidents) where it can be used on both types of roads, the correct answer is 'Both on urban and interurban roads'. Remember that on urban roads, usage is generally prohibited except for the mentioned exceptions to prevent noise pollution.
