In which situation is it mandatory for the driver to put on the high-visibility reflective vest?

Question

DentroTest · Accepted Answer

The use of the reflective vest is a fundamental passive safety measure. According to the regulations, it is mandatory to put it on when getting out of the vehicle and occupying the roadway or the shoulder of interurban roads (roads outside built-up areas), both day and night. The aim is to be visible from a minimum distance of 150 meters. On urban roads (inside built-up areas), its use is not mandatory, although it is advisable for safety. Remember that you must keep the vest within reach inside the passenger compartment so you can put it on before getting out of the vehicle.
